Maruti Suzuki Ertiga! A Value for money mpv at an affordable price from maruti's arena.

Whenever Maruti Suzuki launches a car it's going to grab a lot of attention and that's natural because they have  50% of market in the hatchbacks, small hatches and compact suv segment which is like no other brand in india. This Ertiga is an update for the previous one and it does look cool, compliant,no nonsense family car with a new petrol engine and more features packed in.

The New Ertiga is built on the Heart-tech platform and now it is longer by 130 mm,wider by 40 mm and taller by 5 mm which is going to create more space inside the cabin. The Engine is the new 1.5 lit petrol engine that produces 103 bhp with 138 Nm of torque and the diesel engine is the same 1.3lit one that produces 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Here one may wonder why maruti has offered a petrol engine in ertiga with Brake Re-gen,SHVS  and all,but this is going to be a different mpv that has adequate power on tap  for the petrol car lovers in mpv segment. The Prices for this car will start from 7.45 lakhs to 10 lakhs and this is the reason why it is more affordable than it's rivals.

The problem with the previous one is the space, the interiors were dated to look at and others. But with this all new ertiga they have cleared that and also the interiors are even more plush with the wood inserts here and there and the ac vents at the front do look like the ones in the audi Q7 and the tail lamps being in a L-shape looks like the volvos. Apart from these the car gets a new touch infotainment system with both android and apple carplay and there is a surprise feature for us inside and that's the ventilated cup holders at front and they are offered only in the top end trims. The Second and third row seats are designed well minding the passengers comfort and also the roof mounted ac's are present as usual. The Third row passengers now gets adjustable head rests for the passengers and the steering is a 3 spoke one with some controls mounted on it.The Instrumentation cluster now gets the MID display that gives us the car info and petrol one will give an average of around 12 to 13 kmpl in our daily usage but the diesel gives a massive 25 kmpl for a vehicle of this big.

The Main downside of this vehicle is the wheels, despite being 15 inch alloys, they could have offered a 16 inch ones and that could have increased height and good ride comfort. The Exteriors are also good to look at with those projector headlamps, new grille, blacked out areas at front fog lamp housing add to the look. The Brake re-gen,SHVS are simple, there is a batter that is housed under the vehicle that helps us re-generate energy at stops and it shuts the engine off while idling and also the SHVS is the one that stores energy while braking and to be simple these are there for improving fuel efficiency and efficient driving.

Hyundai Aura! The Sporty compact sedan is out now.

Hyundai India has launched the all-new sporty looking compact sedan 'Aura' which replaces the Xcent in Hyundai's India line-up and also the details of the car are below. Engines: This Time they have launched the car with bs-6 compliant engines both in petrol and also diesel and now they have the power and torque figures more or less the same as it's engines are even more refined now. So, the engines offered are 1.2lit petrol and 1.2lit diesel. There will be 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel among which the petrol is 1.2 that churns out 83Ps and a 1.0lit engine that churns out 99P of power and the diesel produces 89Ps of power. The Gearbox options are as follows: 1.2Petrol gets a manual/amt while the 1.0 lit gets only a manual one and the diesel gets both manual/amt. So, options are decent to look as well considering the price range it will be in but a CVT would be great like we have seen in the Amaze. Design: Coming to the Design, recently they have released the sket...

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is...

There's a new auto-gearbox that works well and it is actually sourced from the Hyundai's Tuscon gearbox as that's also having the same 2.0lit engine. The Manual gearbox is also having the same amount of power and torque the automatic has but the good part is that the enthusiasts of the manual gearbox can enjoy it as Tata has worked well on the clutch to make it light and also simple to drive. The Mileage figures o...
