Tata Harrier or Hyundai Creta?

This question rose in recent times and why is that because Tata Harrier is a bigger vehicle with lots of features and in price just above the Creta and being on the other side just completed the 5lakh sales mark and still counting. Tata Harrier is a 4.6m long SUV built on a discovery platform and carrying some similar styling and features made customers wonder on how come tata is making cars like these in this new generation.

Tata Harrier: Being a vehicle made from a JLR's Omega platform or if you want it to be short, then the discovery platform this car has actually become a showstopper when we saw it in the auto expo and they have made most of it into the production version which is now attracting a lot of customers towards it. Tata is actually going in an approach where they can get sales increased in a steady manner. Why I said this is because the distribution of features for the variants in it is done very attentively because now whatever the variant you buy, it actually brings value for your choice.

The features and all are, I think they're more concentrated on safety than anything else and I am saying this because of the features they are offering like the ESP, HHC, HDC, Roll-over mitigation and ABS, Disc Wiping or washing(whatever it is). By looking at this list of features and all we can understand that they are more concerned about safety and control over the vehicle than anything else and I don't say they are carried away but a little happened. The 2-lit multijet diesel engine which was sourced from the fiat and also named it kryotec is because they have de-tuned the engine accordingly or detuned it to 138Ps while jeep has higher power than this.
Now, coming to the interiors, fit and finish, the quality of materials they have used and the ambiance inside the vehicle, the massive 8.8inch touch system with both android and apple car play with navigation and reverse camera and steering mounted controls, cruise control, Half analog and half digital meters with data about the vehicle and then the 5 driving modes among which the city, sport, and eco are usual while what's new is the extras like wet road mode and the rough road mode which takes care of the vehicle is not rolling over while they don't do any offroading they just control the vehicle from skidding, rolling on those roads and the engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the shifts are pretty smooth and the gearbox is easy to operate.

If this many goodies are there, then where does the harrier lacks is in some features like the tyres which are designed conventional and they are 17's while customers expected 18 inches and also no auto-dimming mirror inside, the touch system is not that good and it lacks in response and the back seat reclinement could have added more comfort and the charging points are problematic to find while driving and the main thing is black spot in the driver side with these huge rear-view mirrors. These could be dragging it down, but with its looks, sharp presence, the safety measures they have taken will just wow the customer and surely attract more customers towards it.

2.Hyundai Creta: The Highest selling SUV in the segment and why it is selling that much? it's because they have taken care of almost everything which gets more customers towards it and also the range of options they have offered. Hyundai is getting a wonderful response from the customers for their vehicles in recent years but this is different. With a 1.6-lit CRDi engine supremely refined and 17-inch diamond-cut alloys, very responsive infotainment system, responsive steering, slick gearshifts, very spacious boot, comfortable ride in both front and rear and sunroof, wireless charging, rear ac vents, ABS, etc., make this a vehicle that can handle efficiently will make this both a drivers car and a family perfect choice. But, the problem with this is feature omissions and no proper distribution of features to some of the top-end variants. For suppose the SX variant of Creta doesn't get the wireless charging and gets only 2 airbags while the manual gets 6 and the automatic wipers and headlamps are not there.
To conclude all this information and decide a winner, it's actually confusing but the real winner is Creta only and why is that because there are pros and cons for both the vehicles but the car that satisfies most of the customers is creta only. Harrier needed more improvements I feel and if they can overcome them, then they can take over these segments very fastly.

Hyundai Aura! The Sporty compact sedan is out now.

Hyundai India has launched the all-new sporty looking compact sedan 'Aura' which replaces the Xcent in Hyundai's India line-up and also the details of the car are below. Engines: This Time they have launched the car with bs-6 compliant engines both in petrol and also diesel and now they have the power and torque figures more or less the same as it's engines are even more refined now. So, the engines offered are 1.2lit petrol and 1.2lit diesel. There will be 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel among which the petrol is 1.2 that churns out 83Ps and a 1.0lit engine that churns out 99P of power and the diesel produces 89Ps of power. The Gearbox options are as follows: 1.2Petrol gets a manual/amt while the 1.0 lit gets only a manual one and the diesel gets both manual/amt. So, options are decent to look as well considering the price range it will be in but a CVT would be great like we have seen in the Amaze. Design: Coming to the Design, recently they have released the sket...

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is...

2020 Tata Harrier! What has changed?

Tata has revealed its covers of the All-new Harrier AT with a fully-powered 2.0lit Engine now and here's a quick review of what has changed in its newer versions and Should you buy one?  It seems Tata has taken the feedback very seriously and the changes they've made in the new one are visible and also a good thing to hear as well. Let us run through the details quickly without wasting much time. 1.Engine:   Tata Motors are now offering the full house 2.0lit BS6 engine with the Harrier and also the power figures are 170Ps and 350Nm of torque now. There's a new auto-gearbox that works well and it is actually sourced from the Hyundai's Tuscon gearbox as that's also having the same 2.0lit engine. The Manual gearbox is also having the same amount of power and torque the automatic has but the good part is that the enthusiasts of the manual gearbox can enjoy it as Tata has worked well on the clutch to make it light and also simple to drive. The Mileage figures o...
