Kia Sonet! Package unpacked.

Hello and Welcome to CarsReboot! Today we're gonna discuss the all-new production-ready Kia Sonet and here's everything you need to know about it.

Kia Motors India has unveiled the all-new Kia Sonet on 7 Aug 2020 and here are the details about it.

Let us start with each and every aspect of it in detail.
1. Design: Kia has already showcased the Sonet i.e, the sub-4 metre SUV in the auto expo and they've done a fantastic job by bringing most of the prototype design elements into the real world design.

Starting with the front, this one looks angrier with that red accents on the grille and the elephant tusk-like DRL's look wild as they've mentioned as its caption. The LEDs look nice and below, there are some sporty elements like the folded type of chrome finish and also the bonnet is set high as well.
Coming to the sides, its more like a crossover than SUV like because the other SUVs like Venue, XUV300 and Brezza have boxed out their designs to look like a proper SUV but Sonet isn't behind either but the side appearance of it seems more like a crossover than an SUV in a good sense. Red brake calliper, red accents surrounding the Kia logo, roof rails, shark fin antenna, sunroof, 16-inch alloys are good enough to make the SUV appeal more rugged and also sporty at the same time which is something rare to find in the current iteration.
Coming to the rear, Kia has done a great job by adding that strip of a reflector and the rear LEDs look sporty and are far better than the ones in Venue because if someone looks at Venue from the rear, it looks more like a hatch than an SUV which is not the case with Sonet.

So, on an overall, the Sonet looks more sporty and rugged compared to its rivals like Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and even the Ford EcoSport.

2. Engines: Now, coming to the engines, Kia did a great job by offering more options to choose and what you get are a 1.0lit TGDI petrol engine, a 1.2lit one and also a 1.5lit diesel engine. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual, 5-speed manual, 7DCT, 6-speed AT and also an IMT transmission as well. So, there are more options to choose for the customers making this the most flexible offering in the segment itself. How it drives, ride quality and all needs some time because as of now, it was just unveiled and slated to be launched in September.

Sonet is offered in both GTLine and HTLine which is a nice thing but expect the variants list to be huge as it's now offered with various gearbox options and trims levels as well.

In my opinion, instead of sticking to the same strategy, Kia should make sure they're offering a fully-loaded variant in both diesel and petrol in both manual and automatic transmissions which will surely attract more number of customers for sure.

3. Interiors and Features: Interiors of the Sonet are as sporty as it is outside because you get a flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control, digital instrumentation with TPMS, premium BOSE audio system, segment-best 10.25-inch infotainment system, connected car tech, ventilated seats, rear ac vents, wireless charging socket, traction control and even drive and traction modes are available and an air purifier which is a segment-first like in its bigger brother Seltos is being offered. There is no shortage of features at all instead there is an overflow of features which is a great thing to have.

Both front and rear seats get red stitching for the GTLine variants and also transmission badging on the outside, its best for 2 full-size adults and a small child because it's built on the Venue platform and we can't expect it to be roomy like its rivals.
So, on a final note, what I can say is that you can't get something better than this because Kia has loaded this one to the gills and most importantly, Kia is offering an AT in diesel which none of its rivals tried to offer and also the design, new gold colour option, chunky alloys and all are attractive.

Expect Kia to be pricing Sonet at around 8.5 - 13.5 Lakhs considering the number of features, great design and also the interiors that are plush enough to pamper customers with ist sportiness.

Thank you for reading and if you like this post, then do share your opinions about the Kia Sonet and also comment down whether it can de-throne the Hyundai Venue or not as well.

2020 Hyundai I20 Vs Tata Altroz! Which is better?

Tata Altroz:  Tata has launched their gold standard vehicle the Altroz recently and also they've priced it very effectively keeping the costs they've to handle with the new BS-6 engines and also offered many good features like dual horn, ambient lighting, part digital and part analog cluster, comfortable rear seats, 90°opening doors and also for the first time a cruise control, steering mounted controls and many more like this. What Tata Motors offer uniquely for this particular vehicle of theirs is the modification packs for the car and you can customize it with the packs they offer us. This is a very unique thing and also the Harman  powered audio system sounds very nice and clear. The Drive modes are restricted to 2 this time which are City and Eco and as the name suggests the City is for sporty driving while Eco is for better fuel economy figures. Having  the 1.5lit engines Diesel and 1.2 Petrol which are meeting the BS-6 norms were detuned and also they'r

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is tha
