Toyota Fortuner or New Ford Endeavour? which is better?

In India Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour are the biggest rivals in the segment of bigger suv market and there are other vehicles at this price point with their own upsides and downsides but doesn't bring the same feture list as these two does and  here i am going to discuss only about these two cars and there is some confusion on which one to buy in this current iteration.Because,Ford has updated it's Endeavour with some changes and dressed it up and well! it looks more mature now with those updates inside and outside.
Fortuner on the other side is having great sales without any involvement in these discussions but what i feel is that it might not be the same in future also.It needs some updates and once they are corrected then it will continue the sales in decent numbers.Coming to the point !these are the two massive vehicles that have their own customers and fans for the way they look and drive.

Toyota  Fortuner being the biggest selling suv in this market that has the 2.8 lit diesel engine that churns out 178 Ps of power and 420/450 Nm of torque depending upon the diesel variants we choose and the vehicle is the updated version of the older one and also it has a lot of features such as dual zone climate control, ambient lighting, touch screen infotainment system, all disc brakes, sigma 4*4 drive with high, low and normal options, automatic tailgate with height adjusting and powered driver seats and a lot more. Here, toyota is offering variants in both petrol and diesel with manual and automatic gear boxes and the petrol is the 2.7 lit unit that produces around 158 Ps of power with 245 Nm of torque and this is actually the only suv that has more flexible options to choose from. But,there are a few misses we need to know like the engine being the same one that powers crysta and engine noise is loud at higher speeds and do creep into the cabin and the suspension is on the stiffer side that results in the entering of  undulations inside the cabin and the infotainment system is not a crisper or atleast responsive unit,no sunroof or panoramic roof and a lot more like this but the option to choose variants in both diesel and petrol with manual and automatic gearboxes is good. It's actually one and half lakh costlier than the ford endeavour but the list is not at par with it.

I don't say fortuner is a bad choice instead it needs some improvements not like the TRD version but like the new ford endeavour they must do something to improve the vehicle like the ford did for some extent.Ford endeavour is the biggest vehicle in terms of proportions among the two and also with it's powerful 3.2 lit 5 cylinder engine it can take on terrains like a champ and added with it's terrain response management system that works according to the road conditions we put it in and the updated ford endeavour is not the fully flexible variant like the fortuner does. What i mean by that is there is no manual variant in 3.2 lit and no petrol variant in the 2.2 or 3.2 like the fortuner has. There is this problem of mileage because the 3.2 li will return you only 9 to 10 kms/lit while the 2.2 manual is the only option if you have the concern for mileage that returns upto 14kms/lit.In this case fortuner has slight edge over endeavor in the mileage department.Even though these many things are not there endeavour is actually a lot more value for money with it's newly updated grille, active noise cancellation system, powered driver and passenger seats, push start button, updated sync 3 system for the infotainment, newly designed alloy wheels, slight increase in the vehicle dimensions, softer suspension setup, freshly introduced 'Diffused Silver' colour and many more.

To sum it up,if toyota has any plans on updating fortuner in terms of engine, cabin noise, interior features like the infotainment system, addition of sunroof, better suspension, new dashboard design and interiors in terms of luxury appeal and all we have to wait for the winner. But,here if one needs a suv that has power, presence, features, luxury inside and out with massive proportions in a diesel variant then the preferable pick here is Ford Endeavour.

Hyundai Aura! The Sporty compact sedan is out now.

Hyundai India has launched the all-new sporty looking compact sedan 'Aura' which replaces the Xcent in Hyundai's India line-up and also the details of the car are below. Engines: This Time they have launched the car with bs-6 compliant engines both in petrol and also diesel and now they have the power and torque figures more or less the same as it's engines are even more refined now. So, the engines offered are 1.2lit petrol and 1.2lit diesel. There will be 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel among which the petrol is 1.2 that churns out 83Ps and a 1.0lit engine that churns out 99P of power and the diesel produces 89Ps of power. The Gearbox options are as follows: 1.2Petrol gets a manual/amt while the 1.0 lit gets only a manual one and the diesel gets both manual/amt. So, options are decent to look as well considering the price range it will be in but a CVT would be great like we have seen in the Amaze. Design: Coming to the Design, recently they have released the sket...

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is...

2020 Tata Harrier! What has changed?

Tata has revealed its covers of the All-new Harrier AT with a fully-powered 2.0lit Engine now and here's a quick review of what has changed in its newer versions and Should you buy one?  It seems Tata has taken the feedback very seriously and the changes they've made in the new one are visible and also a good thing to hear as well. Let us run through the details quickly without wasting much time. 1.Engine:   Tata Motors are now offering the full house 2.0lit BS6 engine with the Harrier and also the power figures are 170Ps and 350Nm of torque now. There's a new auto-gearbox that works well and it is actually sourced from the Hyundai's Tuscon gearbox as that's also having the same 2.0lit engine. The Manual gearbox is also having the same amount of power and torque the automatic has but the good part is that the enthusiasts of the manual gearbox can enjoy it as Tata has worked well on the clutch to make it light and also simple to drive. The Mileage figures o...
