Hyundai venue launched! What did they hit and what did they miss?

Going directly into the launch, hyundai is going to rock this year with their all new sporty looking, stylish yet elegant suv.Hyundai priced venue very attractively in a range of 6.5 to 11.10 lakhs.Venue in its sketches itself shook some companies and seeing it in flesh has brought the design to live.As the event goes they have mentioned 32 connectivity features among which 10 are indian specific and also they have some key features like geo-fencing,sos,blue link, emergency alerts & others like android auto, apple carplay etc., do help it to stand out and the option of 7 colour schemes and also dual tone colouring is available.Wireless charging, cruise control, arkamy's sound system, sunroof, led tail lamps, rear ac vents all add towards its success. The Variants are ranging from E and all the way to SX(O),SX Plus. The Engines are the same 1.2 lit kappa petrol,1.4 lit diesel but what excites the customers more is the 1.0 lit petrol turbo charged GDI engine that produces whopping power and torque figures. Here are the list of pros and cons of the car below.

Pros :
1. 3 Engine options available among which one gets the DCT gearbox.
2.Feature loaded.
3.Stylish,connected and newly designed 16 inch wheels and the base variant gets the 15 inch steel wheels as option.
4.Fresh interiors with the leather seats available in 3 colours also available with air purifier which is very good touch in recent times as aur getting polluted and also the eco-coating also works the same way inside the cabin.
5.Blue link connectivity which is futuristic.

Cons :
1.No automatic in the higher variants except the 1.0 lit petrol and the main deal breaker here is no sx(o) variant in the petrol automatic but just a sxplus.
2.No powered driver seat,no rear disc brakes.
3.Dual zone climate control is not available which is there in the xuv300 and also tyre pressure monitoring system is unavailable.
4.No Ventilated seats at front which could have improved the premiumness and also great chance for stand out features in its segment but its subective thing.
The Above shown cons are not the potential deal breakers except the automatic gearbox in 1.4 or 1.2 engines and anyway there was no automatic gearbox before also.To conclude about venue, this is a futuristic approach for hyundai and their designs stand out in almost everytime and be it the santro, venue or the upcoming kona which is an electric suv.
5.The Potential deal breaker for hyundai venue is it has no automatic gearbox in the 1.4 lit engine and also there is no fully loaded blue link connectivity in the sx(o) in diesel and also no sx(o) in automatic variant and also the feature emissions of sxplus is irrelevant and this does create some disturbance for customers.

Hyundai Aura! The Sporty compact sedan is out now.

Hyundai India has launched the all-new sporty looking compact sedan 'Aura' which replaces the Xcent in Hyundai's India line-up and also the details of the car are below. Engines: This Time they have launched the car with bs-6 compliant engines both in petrol and also diesel and now they have the power and torque figures more or less the same as it's engines are even more refined now. So, the engines offered are 1.2lit petrol and 1.2lit diesel. There will be 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel among which the petrol is 1.2 that churns out 83Ps and a 1.0lit engine that churns out 99P of power and the diesel produces 89Ps of power. The Gearbox options are as follows: 1.2Petrol gets a manual/amt while the 1.0 lit gets only a manual one and the diesel gets both manual/amt. So, options are decent to look as well considering the price range it will be in but a CVT would be great like we have seen in the Amaze. Design: Coming to the Design, recently they have released the sket...

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is...

Let us run through the details quickly without wasting much time. 1.Engine:   Tata Motors are now offering the full house 2.0lit BS6 engine with the Harrier and also the power figures are 170Ps and 350Nm of torque now. There's a new auto-gearbox that works well and it is actually sourced from the Hyundai's Tuscon gearbox as that's also having the same 2.0lit engine. The Manual gearbox is also having the same amount of power and torque the automatic has but the good part is that the enthusiasts of the manual gearbox can enjoy it as Tata has worked well on the clutch to make it light and also simple to drive. The Mileage figures o...
