Did Maruti Suzuki realize that safety is also important?

What is Maruti Suzuki doing until the launch of the new Alto with safety features and also in other models? Did safety measures come to their books only after BS-6 norms? What made them re-visit their vehicles and add more safety features in the current vehicles and also to announce that they will provide their upcoming vehicles with more safety features?




As the BS-6 norms kick in, every car manufacturer in India is changing the standard features that are offered in the small cars they have and what they are doing is just adding more airbags and EBD, ESC and other safety centered features. 
My Question to them is very simple, why just now? Why not before and this is the thing that customers should think of!





They have updated the Alto recently and now the Dzire with more airbags and some safety tech. If the thing "safety" becomes a concern for them only after the norms and regulations put by the government, then it means they didn't feel it as an important issue in a country like India. Focusing only on the market isn't the only thing they have but also safety, features. Happy that they have felt safety is must at least by now and hoping they will increase the quality and also safer platforms in upcoming vehicles in the future.

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1.
