Tata Nexon! This Time its not the normal SUV but an electric one. Tata has released the all-new Nexon EV and the details are as follows.
Battery: This one gets a new 30.7kWh battery from the Ziptron tech which is an IP67 rated and this churns out 118Ps of power and 245Nm of torque and also the car's range is 300kms but this might vary in the real world conditions and also the charging options likewise. It charges from 0-80% in 1 hour with a fast charger and 8 hours with the normal charger. So, the charging stations are gonna be the same as the Tigor EV. It has been extensively tested and also at different terrains in India and it comes with a rotary dial with R, D, N and Sports mode as the normal driving mode and the sports mode will surely vary in terms of drivability. This also gets the brake re-gen which increases the range by a reasonable amount when you have to brake more and drive less like Hilly areas and all.
Design: There are good amount of design changes like the front bottom of the bumper is having blue accense elements and also the headlamps are tweaked a bit in terms of the design and now the projector is the high beam and there is a low beam which is a halogen and also the rear portion of the car is given a simple change but not too big as they have gotten more sharp elements at the back and also the Tyres are the same as before but the ground clearance is decreased by 4mm as the battery pack is placed below. Apart from all these it now gets a sunroof which is a most awaited feature with the Nexon and Harrier and this is released in three variants i.e, XM, XZ+ & XZ+ LUX(which I think could be the top end)but I don't know why all these but hoping like they also wanted to reach small buyers I believe.
Interiors: This time Tata seems to be very specific with the interiors as they have retained the instrumentation like the one in Altroz half-digital and half analogue along with the blue inserts around it and it does pretty match up with the overall ambience of the car as well. The Steering gets some controls of the audio and also the sunroof just feels airy inside the car but the C-pillar should have been better at least by now. The Gear selector with the driving modes and also refreshed infotainment system and the seats look plush as well and also the rear seats get ac-vents and also you get everything as same as in the Nexon.

As of now, they haven't released the price but to our estimation, we could set it to 15 lakhs but remember it is just estimated price and there are no competitors for it at this range as MG ZS is a bigger one comparatively so no competitors as of now. If you are living in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and others you can buy this one without any fuss as they all have the infrastructure to some extent but if you are a long drive person then also it will work but you need to stop it as the day ends because it needs juice to start again and the charging option is very nice as all we need is a 15A plug and it will be available in every house literally so keeping all this in mind we can buy the Nexon EV if we are living in cities as our first one because it's clean and will surely pull off everything comes your way as the wheels are huge and can take different roads as well provided you have the juice in it. So, keeping all these in mind it is a reasonable purchase to have if it's priced well as it offers a lot of features and also no maintenance and no oil changes and all so an EV excludes all these costs from our pocket but what it finally needs is the juice inside the battery and also we have good infrastructure for that. It's a good one to purchase and also this is for the people who would like to have a strong SUV which is an EV.
