2020 Ford EcoSport Vs Tata Nexon Vs Mahindra XUV300 Vs Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Hello guys! And welcome to CarsReboot!. Today we're gonna discuss the compact segment vehicles and find the best one. Let us start one by one.

Before starting the post here's something I wanna tell you all i.e, Hyundai Venue's details are half and half as of now and once they're completely out I'll update the post and revise things in this post. Thought to mention it before the post starts as it will help us focus on the post rather than thinking about why Venue is not here.
Ok! Now one by one, here it goes...

1. Ford EcoSport: Ford EcoSport is one of the best driver-centric SUV since 2013 and it has proved itself very clearly by offering a solid build quality and sporty aesthetics as well. Now, Ford has launched the EcoSport silently with the new BS6 engines inside. Here are the changes:
Changes:
1. Engines produce the same output figures but one thing is that the EcoBoost engine was dropped which means that we now have only the 1.5lit engines in diesel and petrol with power figures similar to their predecessors.
2. The Alloys design has changed a bit. Now the alloys look in grey colour.
3. Ford has introduced the Ford Pass and what it does is that it lets us use some functions through our smartphones like vehicle telematics and others.
Revised prices of Ford EcoSport start from 8.04 - 11.66 Lakhs which is decent enough for a vehicle like this.

Pros:
1. Enthusiastic engines with sporty driving dynamics and they can pull very strongly.
2. Every variant is equipped decent enough.
3. Responsive infotainment system with android auto, apple car play, mood lighting and other features as well.
4. Features like TPMS, sunroof, full-size spare alloy, rain-sensing wipers, TCS(Traction Control System), Auto ac and all are a good touch at this price point.
5. Thunder Edition which is a sporty variant with a black decal on the bonnet and it comes with Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity which focusses primarily on sporty character.
6. Petrol variants get a CVT.

Space for improvement:
1. The rear seat is strictly for 2 and if you have a small kid then it is ok but if its an adult means it would be a tight fit.
2. Ride quality is on the stiffer side as its a sporty SUV which can corner with a good amount of confidence but this aspect has become a bigger concern for many customers.
3. No rear ac vents.
4. Some plastics inside feel not up to that mark and also the engine noise creeps in if we rev the engine a bit.
5. No auto gearbox in diesel which is not that bigger concern as the manual gearbox is meant to be driven enthusiastically but if the company is able to match the frequency of the engine and if they had offered a 6-speed AT means it would've been great combo in my opinion.

2. Tata Nexon:
Tata's best compact SUV Nexon which has garnered huge no of customers and also the fans for its design is just going to increase with the updated one. The 1.5lit and 1.2lit diesel and petrol engines continue to produce the same power figures which is a very good thing.
The Prices of Nexon start from 6.95 - 12.7Lakhs making it the costliest of all its competitors and also most accessible of all its competitors parallelly.
Here are the changes that were done to the vehicle:
Changes:
1. Design revision which resulted in new tri-arrow DRL's and new stop lamps at the rear and also the wheels are new and the design of them feels good.
2. New IRA tech is present in the Nexon which provides us with the details of vehicle telematics and also let us control the vehicle using our smartphones.
3. Instrumentation cluster is new and it's a digital unit which has a lot of info in it and also the seats themselves are more supportive as well.
4. Gets a new sunroof that opens up more airy feel inside and the colours used are very good.
5. Cruise control.

Pros:
1. Safest vehicle in the segment.
2. Has hell a lot of features starting from the sunroof, android, apple and also IRA tech, what 3 words and much more.
3. Ride quality is good.
4. Rear seats can seat 3 people comfortably and also the boot space is good as well.
5. Driving modes which alter the throttle response according to our driving conditions is a very good touch.
6. The Central console gives us a plush appeal and there's a lot of space to keep our things inside.
7. Even if you buy the lowest end also, it has something to offer you which is a good thing.

Space for improvement:
1. Lag is evident at low speeds.
2. As the vehicle is heavy, it has some amount of body roll which can be felt while we are around corners.
3. Engine noise creeps in when we rev it hard but as long as we're keeping it in its sweet spot, it responds well.
4. It now has a total of 32 variants init which confuses customers on which one to choose.
5. Priciest of all its competitors considering the topmost variant.

 3. Maruti Suzuki Brezza:
Brezza has been the segment's best accessible compact SUV and this particular fact has made it the biggest seller in the segment and now we'll see about it at a bit more depth.
The Prices of Brezza start at 7.34 - 11.44 lakhs.

Changes:
1. Headlamps design is revised and also DRL's too and the rear stop lamps now look sharper than before which is a good thing. Alloy design and front grille design has been revised and they look sharper and creates a muscular stance now.
2. New K-series petrol engine that produces 103Ps and 138Nm of torque and it comes with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto which is a kind of let down.
3. Maruti Suzuki says that they have worked on the suspension and its ride quality is better now.

Pros:
1. Design is now boxier and less clutter.
2. New dual projector headlamps with new DRL design and also the rear has changed quite a bit.
3. Mileage is very good with the petrol engine now and they give around 17kmpl for the manual and nearly 18kmpl for the AT.
4. It is accessible to many customers like Nexon.

Space for improvement:
1. I thought at least by now Maruti Suzuki will upgrade a bit and make the brezza more accessible but no they're not gonna do it.
2. Price is simply too much. See, they're not offering any groundbreaking features or anything new.
3. The infotainment system is still a laggy one and the dash looks clean but nothing new too.
4. No sunroof.
5. No diesel engine which results in disappointing many customers.
6. The 4-speed AT gearbox is utterly useless and don't know why they're using the same tricks again and again on all their vehicles.

4. Mahindra XUV300:
Mahindra has turned heads when they launched the XUV300 for its sporty appeal and a proper boxy shape which can fit 3 adults at the rear and good infotainment system and also some unique feature like showing the direction of steering.

Changes:
Engines conversion is the only change which came out till now but the great thing is that the price increase is very minimal like some 5k-15k which is surprising.
The Prices of the XUV300 starts at
8.30 - 12.69 lakhs. Power figures have changed but very minimal only.

Pros:
1. Good ride quality.
2. Plenty of good features like cruise control, sunroof, steering modes, stylish exterior design.
3. Alloys look very upmarket and bring the whole appeal of the vehicle even better.
4. Can seat 3 adults at the rear with no fuss at all.
5. Proper Boxy-design for a compact segment like this.
6. Best value for money purchase.

Space for improvement:
1. Boot space is very less
2. Engine lacks the initial grunt which results in lag at the start.
3. Some more features could be added like smartphone tech and all but nothing's there.
4. Body role is visible while cornering and the steering modes are unique but this is not a feature that wows us.

Conclusion :
With all things said and done, now its time to choose the best pick among the bunch and to be very frank these SUVs confuse us at some point or other.
I will provide you all with a small proposition so that it'll make things very clear to you all.
1. If you want a sporty driving SUV with lots of power underneath and great cornering ability, then its Ford EcoSport.
2. If you want a feature-rich vehicle with good ride quality and also curvy design means its Tata Nexon.
3. If you want a proper boxy design of an SUV with plenty of features then your choice should be XUV300.
4. Maruti Brezza is strictly for Maruti Suzuki lovers because they've let down many things with 2020 one and the biggest thing being diesel engine and also the vehicle lacks many features in the first place so if you like it, it's your choice to buy it but in my opinion I feel there are even better offerings than Brezza.
(I don't have anything against Maruti Suzuki or any other manufacturer for that matter and I see things just like you all do and would always like to suggest the best possible choice if you read my posts.)

So, now before ending the post, I can frankly tell you all that a proper balance of all the competition is Nexon and the reason being highest changes in exterior design and many useful features are added into it. So, as far as my opinion goes I would vote Nexon as the best balance and even Ford EcoSport despite having minimal changes do offer us a very good value for money option if we go for S Diesel or Thunder edition in my opinion.

Thank you for reading this lengthy post and plz don't forget to comment down your opinions about this post and also type your pick among all the above-mentioned SUVs as well.
See you in the next post!🙂

Kia Sonet! Package unpacked.

Hello and Welcome to CarsReboot! Today we're gonna discuss the all-new production-ready Kia Sonet and here's everything you need to know about it.                        Kia Motors India has unveiled the all-new Kia Sonet on 7 Aug 2020 and here are the details about it. Let us start with each and every aspect of it in detail.                           1. Design: Kia has already showcased the Sonet i.e, the sub-4 metre SUV in the auto expo and they've done a fantastic job by bringing most of the prototype design elements into the real world design.                            Starting with the front, this one looks angrier with that red accents on the grille and the elephant tusk-like DRL's look wild as they've mentioned as its caption. The LEDs look nice and below, there are some sporty elements like the folded type of chrome finish and also the bonnet is set high as well.                           Coming to the sides, its more like a crossover than SUV like because

2020 Hyundai I20 Vs Tata Altroz! Which is better?

Tata Altroz:  Tata has launched their gold standard vehicle the Altroz recently and also they've priced it very effectively keeping the costs they've to handle with the new BS-6 engines and also offered many good features like dual horn, ambient lighting, part digital and part analog cluster, comfortable rear seats, 90°opening doors and also for the first time a cruise control, steering mounted controls and many more like this. What Tata Motors offer uniquely for this particular vehicle of theirs is the modification packs for the car and you can customize it with the packs they offer us. This is a very unique thing and also the Harman  powered audio system sounds very nice and clear. The Drive modes are restricted to 2 this time which are City and Eco and as the name suggests the City is for sporty driving while Eco is for better fuel economy figures. Having  the 1.5lit engines Diesel and 1.2 Petrol which are meeting the BS-6 norms were detuned and also they'r

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is tha
