2020 MG Hector Vs Tata Harrier Vs Hyundai Creta Vs Kia Seltos. Which among the four is the better pick to consider?

Hello guys! Welcome to CarsReboot. Today we're gonna discuss and find out the best vehicle in the compact SUV space. Here we go..!

Important note: This post could seem long but my suggestion for you is if you want to know about any car particularly, thenn go to that car section and read it instead if you want to know the best option, then read it completely and decide for yourself.

This is one of the most anticipated comparisons I think as the Harrier AT, 2020 Creta, and the super seller Kia Seltos and the recently launched BS6 MG Hector are in the right place and now we shall find out which is best in the segment.

One important point I wanted to mention at the start itself that instead of discussing everything about the vehicles which will make you feel bored, I will just run through what and all has changed and the vehicle's pros and cons so that you guys will be able to choose clearly.

1. MG Hector:
MG Hector from MG motors India has seen some good amount of success rivalling the Kia Seltos and also naming itself the internet inside badge with AI enabled response is quite a great thought to implement. MG has recently launched their new BS6 compliant Hector and let us checkout what and all has changed in it.

Changes:
Changes weren't there much but company is only going to make all the changes in the Hector+ which is the 7-seater that will be released soon after this pandemic. So, no big changes to discuss of about Hector but the convertion of BS6 engines is only the visible one. Prices have seen a solid increase and the revised prices of the 2020 BS6 Hector start at 13.88 - 17.73Lakhs making it the costlier than any of its rivals.

Pros:
1. Features like AI-enabled assistant with operations like opening sunroof, windows, increasing and decreasing ac temperature and others are some of the notable ones which help people do things effortless and also hassle free driving.
2. The All-LED package is something that looks more professional stance and also the arrangement is very good.
3. Interiors look good with that massive touch screen infotainment system, nice and simpler looking steering wheel with audio and instrument cluster controls and all.
4. Providing both driver and front passenger seats with powered seats is good touch and also the materials inside feel very upmarket and gives us a good impression.

Space for improvement:
1. The Deisgn of the Hector itself doesn't appeal to broader audience as an SUV like its rivals but the sales happened till now are due to the new branding, every variant of Hector is offered with some features that'll satisfy the customers who aspire to buy one.
 2. Even though the vehicle is equipped with a ton of tech, some key issues like laggy infotainment system, ac controls also being accommodated into the infotainment are a bit of concern. The Cameras at front and rear simply lack the quality of feed which was available in its rivals.
3. Second row despite being the biggest one can't accommodate 3 people comfortable due to its lack of width but good part is that the floor is flat.
4.  A New AT gearbox in diesel and some enhancements to the interiors were expected but the company has released the vehicle just as a normal engine change which is a bit let down.

2.Tata Harrier: The Highly anticipated AT gearbox in Harrier has arrived and here are the changes Tata Motors have done with the vehicle.
Changes:
1. The engine is now in full power i.e, 170Ps and 350Nm of torque so no stopping it in this section with an Auto gearbox means, its comfort redefined for Tata Harrier.
2. Alloy's design has changed to more of a sporty one instead of the plain ones we have seen in the old Harrier.
3. IRVM's size has been decreased and they don't obstruct the driver's vision and create a blindspot while taking turns which is a good thing and also the IRVM is now having the Auto-dimming facility.
4. Tata has added some key features like powered driver seat, massive panoramic sunroof, charging ports are now accessible and the infotainment system gets a new font changing facility.
These are the changes that were done to the vehicle and now we'll get into the pros and space for improvement of the vehicle.

Pros:
1. Superior and sporty styling which makes it the most handsome looking SUV among all its competitors in the segment.
2. Now the engine is in full-steam which refers to the 170Ps and 350Nm of torque provided in the vehicle with a BS6 tag.
3. Most awaited Auto-gearbox is here that works smooth and pulls cleanly providing power the way a driver requires using the drive modes available in it.
4. Massive proportions lead to comfortable seating which boils down to the fact that you can fit 5-people inside Harrier with no fuss at all.
5. Features like powered driver seat, auto-dimming IRVM, massive panoramic sunroof, good looking dash, and also the half-digital and half-analog system make the driver feel more engaged.
6. Newly designed alloys look cool and the safety-related features like ABS, ESC, HHC, HDC, front disc brakes, disc wiping or cleaning, traction control modes, and all make it safer vehicle and undoubtedly the Harrier is a powerful vehicle that can save you at any given instances for sure.

Space for improvement:
1. Infotainment is a bit laggy but the primary issue is that the skin or the UI doesn't look as attractive as what its competitors provide with.
2. Features like connected car-tech, TPMS, rear discs, front parking sensors, power tailgate, electric parking brake, rear seats reclining facility, voice controls, and all would have made it something else.
3. The Biggest drawback here is that Tata has done all the things asked for but they've forgotten the central theme of new feature add-ons in the vehicle which is a bit let down.
4. Price could seem higher but providing balanced versions of Harrier would have made it the best SUV because everyone aspires to buy a vehicle like Harrier but due to its high price tag, some could turn their attention towards its competitors.

3.Hyundai Creta:
The New generation Creta was launched by Hyundai and here are the changes that were done to the vehicle.
Changes:
1. A completely revamped design that has garnered customers who like and dislike its design so I would simply state it as something that is left to customers.
2. New All-LED projectors and a C-shaped DRL's at the front and the same kind of stop lamps at the rear too.
3. Interiors of new Creta have seen a great improvement over the past Creta's cabin which looked nice but nothing out of the box.
4. Creta being the new competitor for Kia Seltos is loaded to the gills with very useful and also very futuristic features like auto-hold, electric parking brake, paddle shifters, digital speedo, panoramic sunroof, newly designed alloys and also powered driver seat, air purifier and all are super impressive ones to be had and why I am appreciating these aspects is because of the reason that the old Creta demanded high price tag but provided little features while the new one balances things pretty well in all possible aspects.

Pros:
1. Creta is loaded with features like anything and at this price point getting these many features is some kind of a feat and I know you people are tempted to whisper about Kia Seltos but I would like you to look at Creta comparing it with the old one which was pricier because that's how we can measure if the vehicle is worthy or not and comparing it with its competition is anyway going to be done by the end of this post.
2. Engines even though carried from Kia, Hyundai somehow managed to draw some 0.1kmpl more than Kia which is surprising.
3. Features like Bluelink connectivity, rear ac, air purifier, massive touch screen with an abundant list of functionalities and also the auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated seats, reverse camera feed, SOS button and also driving modes which Hyundai is offering for the first time with Creta and all are really unthought of and came surprising to a customer.
4. Great NVH levels, safety features, rear discs, better ride quality, and all are really useful ones to be had in an SUV like this.

Space for improvement:
1. As you expected, the design seems a bit of let down because of some overdone elements like the front and rear because they are not giving that reassuring appeal provided by Kia Seltos or Tata Harrier but simply feels as a piece which was overdone.
2. Even though Creta is somewhat cheaper than its biggest competitor Kia Seltos, if you observe their features list, Hyundai has dropped some features like passenger side request sensor, 360° camera, front parking sensors and also the Heads-up display which if installed would have made it, even more, costlier than Seltos.
3. The Alloys could have improved as they are too busy and the gun-metal alloy wheels are not for everyone's liking despite having the same design in all variants. They should have worked on somewhat better ones in my opinion.

4.Kia Seltos: Kia Seltos as everyone knows that it looks super sporty, elegant and very tempting art every car manufacturer would aspire to design.
The cuts & creases, design, chrome linings, the configuration possibilities and all are very impressive and at the start of their very first vehicle itself Kia has managed to shake the market and captured the leader position very quickly.
Now the design of Kia Seltos is really ground shaking with the crown jewel LED headlamps, ice cube style foglamps and the thin strip of DRL on the bonet area connecting to the Kia logo is quite a good thought and coming to the rear the smart looking LED strip with heartbeat stoplamps are very cool to look at.

Pros:
1. Best design among the compact ones with smart looking creases and a proper suv appeal which attracts a lot of eyes instantly in the first look itself.
2. Features! There are ton of them inside the Seltos and to list some of them like 360° parking cameras, full LED headlamps package, ventilated seats, UVO connectivity, rear sun blinds, crystal cut alloys that look sporty enough to attract any kind of customers and much more like this.
3. Interiors are futuristic with the single panel running from instrument cluster till the infotainment system which is a nice thing and also the controls, switches and all feel nice and easy to understand while the key takeaway here is the smart air purifier system that cleanses the air inside the cabin while it also diffuses the perfume as well. Kia also offer headrest for the middle passenger which a good thing and also there are a lot of spaces to accommodate bottles, keys, your smartphone and all it gets a wireless charging area with cooling pad that stabilizes the temperature there to make sure your smartphone is not getting over heated at any circumstances.
4. Exterior features like sunroof, sharp looking ORVM's with turn indicators, sunroof, UV cut glass, rain sensing wipers, TPMS and also the chrome lining on the window line and all are very smart.

Space for improvement:
1. The List of variants is huge and hope Kia will look into it and sort the list into a more simpler way for customers to check.
2. The Diesel variants and also the 1.5IVT petrol doesn't get the features like 360° camera, front parking sensors, heads-up display and all either in the top end manual or in the top end AT which is a kind of bummer for diesel buyers and Kia has released a GTX+ variant in diesel with all the bells and whistles pricing it at 17.34Lakhs but a GTX+ manual variant would be great in my opinion.

Now that the post is nearing to an end, let me keep things straight and clear. Refer to the points below and make your decision.
1. If you are looking for a big and intimidating SUV, then Harrier is for you because it looks great, has a decent list of features, drives well with the new AT and also seats 5 people comfortably inside and has some offroad tech that can pull you out of some small situations when you are stuck.
2. If you are a tech-lover who loves to have a ton of features with a proper SUV look inside and out, then Kia Seltos is the one you must choose.
3. If you are looking for a slightly feasible option than Kia Seltos but with high similarity in features they possess, then Hyundai Creta with some futuristic features like Blue-Link, panoramic sunroof, Tri-beam LED headlamps and all will make you feel satisfied.
4. MG Hector is simply for the people who like an AI assistant that speaks with you and responds well and also interiors that'll make you feel that you're in a professional SUV, then this is the right choice for you.

Verdict:
The Best pick among all things considered like design, features, interiors, exteriors, and all Kia Seltos seems to have everything in great proportions which makes it the 'Winner of the Pack'

One important thing I would like to mention before closing this post is that I can frankly tell you that by reading the post you can get some certain amount of clarity but people tend to overthink on what choice should be made like between Creta & Seltos or between Harrier & Hector like that and it leads no where. So, to overcome this the only solution is to buy one making your priorities clear and discarding things which you don't want.

Thank you for reading this huge post and don't forget to comment on your opinions on the post and also type your choice among the four SUVs here.

Kia Sonet! Package unpacked.

Hello and Welcome to CarsReboot! Today we're gonna discuss the all-new production-ready Kia Sonet and here's everything you need to know about it.                        Kia Motors India has unveiled the all-new Kia Sonet on 7 Aug 2020 and here are the details about it. Let us start with each and every aspect of it in detail.                           1. Design: Kia has already showcased the Sonet i.e, the sub-4 metre SUV in the auto expo and they've done a fantastic job by bringing most of the prototype design elements into the real world design.                            Starting with the front, this one looks angrier with that red accents on the grille and the elephant tusk-like DRL's look wild as they've mentioned as its caption. The LEDs look nice and below, there are some sporty elements like the folded type of chrome finish and also the bonnet is set high as well.                           Coming to the sides, its more like a crossover than SUV like because

2020 Hyundai I20 Vs Tata Altroz! Which is better?

Tata Altroz:  Tata has launched their gold standard vehicle the Altroz recently and also they've priced it very effectively keeping the costs they've to handle with the new BS-6 engines and also offered many good features like dual horn, ambient lighting, part digital and part analog cluster, comfortable rear seats, 90°opening doors and also for the first time a cruise control, steering mounted controls and many more like this. What Tata Motors offer uniquely for this particular vehicle of theirs is the modification packs for the car and you can customize it with the packs they offer us. This is a very unique thing and also the Harman  powered audio system sounds very nice and clear. The Drive modes are restricted to 2 this time which are City and Eco and as the name suggests the City is for sporty driving while Eco is for better fuel economy figures. Having  the 1.5lit engines Diesel and 1.2 Petrol which are meeting the BS-6 norms were detuned and also they'r

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is tha
