EV's! Why Indian market is slow and what it needs to boost the EV's sales in future?

Important Note: The Below listed ones are totally based on my observations and opinions only.

Now! Into the post.
Hello guys! And welcome to CarsReboot! Today I'm gonna discuss the EV's which is a kind of curiosity creating aspect and also one of the important means as we step into the future to save our environment.
As we have seen in recent times that the sales of EV's are not on par with what customers aspire to have and the aspects which companies must consider are listed below.

1. Designs: This is one of the major aspects which companies should work heavily on, whenever you purchase a vehicle the focus is mainly towards the design rather than other aspects and as of now we have Hyundai Kona, MG ZS EV, and Tata Nexon EV among which ZS from MG turns out to be the better looking one overall while the smartest of the pack goes to the Kona due to its design, range, clever distribution of features and also driver only ac and many others. Tata Nexon is a better value for money purchases among all. So, companies should look into this aspect a bit deeper as in my opinion Altroz which is the upcoming one from Tata is surely a showstopper and also the sedan i.e, Tata E-vision is a stunning looker and also Mahindra is preparing XUV300 EV which is satisfying but companies should extend their hands further towards more appealing ones.

SUVs are the primary hot-selling segments and if companies can invest better designs with a better balance of all aspects then it'll change the sales count like anything.

2. Range Anxiety: This was there right from the start and customers throughout India need to be understood that they can achieve good range if driven properly and that's one of the biggest challenges companies must face and some have started it earlier like MG with ZS and even Tata is also promising very good figures of range if driven efficiently while Kona is having the highest range of all.
To overcome this, companies should bring better range giving batteries to the Indian market and for a small instance, Hyundai Kona's current battery capacity is 39.4kWh which gives a range of around 400+kms(claimed) but in real-world scenarios, it is around 300-340kms and that's too if driven very efficiently. So, the thing is that in global markets Hyundai is also having another 60kWh battery that gives us even higher range which will clear the thirst of customers with range anxiety. The Fact here is that it'll take some time for us to be able to purchase affordable EV's and to make it happen, the price of the batteries must come down and the companies should invest well in that sector.
So, to remove range anxiety from customers companies should bring more and more high range vehicles but that needs some time of transition which is not very far.

3. Infrastructure: This is one big aspect that determines whether the EV's are going to be our primary choices in future or not!
For this particular one, I believe companies are striving to extend their hands towards building infrastructure while Govt of India must support even stronger to start the charging infrastructure to be built not only in developed cities but also at highways, district headquarters, developing areas as well and for this to happen, first the sales should be increased in cities and the requirements should increase in other areas parallelly.

4. Features: This is one more area where companies must handle very sensitively. Because you see, the companies are providing lots and lots of features in their fossil fuel-driven cars and when it comes to the EV's somethings are missing but to overcome this, companies should innovate new features every now and then so that they keep customers engaged.
For instance powered driver seat, electronic parking brake, digital instrument cluster with some animation and futuristic appealing design of fonts and info description in it, rotary knob for driving which looks more attractive, powered tailgate, comfortable and spacious interiors with good ride quality, front and rear parking sensors, voice command functionalities and all take time and cost and strategies to install in what type of vehicle and all but companies should be able to incorporate them in the higher end models at least so that customer's focus can be directed towards that variants.

5. Pricing: This I can't predict very clearly how it is going to be but the stats say that in the future if customers focus turns towards EVs means the prices could decrease and also we will be able to see affordable options as well. So, only sales and interest can make this happen.

6. Body types: As I mentioned above that SUV is the segment that is booming like anything and if companies can cash than using appropriate tech, designs, range and also affordability then it'll be great. Not only in SUV's but companies should try to shift their focus towards other segments like Hatchbacks(Altroz EV) and smaller hatches as well and they must take feedback from customers through online or offline as once a customer buys a particular vehicle in their company be it of any segment and if companies are able to gather the requirements on what kind of EV they would aspire to have or see in future and what features they would like to have in it. the kind of design and other aspects and gathering the data through the Car channels like AutoCar India, Powerdrift, CarWale, CarDekho, ZigWheels, CNB, and others will be of great help as there are people who are well knowledged in that fields who meditate about cars every second.

Finally! As the post is coming to an end I would like to conclude this by saying this one point and i.e, as of now we have petrol, diesel-driven vehicles in India and what companies should focus on is that customers in India currently can go anywhere in India with their diesel or petrol-powered vehicle but can do they do that with an EV? is the question that should continuously run in their mind and keeping it they must develop something extra-ordinary which is unique in every aspect.

Thank you for reading this and post your opinions about this post in the comment section below. See you!

Kia Sonet! Package unpacked.

Hello and Welcome to CarsReboot! Today we're gonna discuss the all-new production-ready Kia Sonet and here's everything you need to know about it.                        Kia Motors India has unveiled the all-new Kia Sonet on 7 Aug 2020 and here are the details about it. Let us start with each and every aspect of it in detail.                           1. Design: Kia has already showcased the Sonet i.e, the sub-4 metre SUV in the auto expo and they've done a fantastic job by bringing most of the prototype design elements into the real world design.                            Starting with the front, this one looks angrier with that red accents on the grille and the elephant tusk-like DRL's look wild as they've mentioned as its caption. The LEDs look nice and below, there are some sporty elements like the folded type of chrome finish and also the bonnet is set high as well.                           Coming to the sides, its more like a crossover than SUV like because

2020 Hyundai I20 Vs Tata Altroz! Which is better?

Tata Altroz:  Tata has launched their gold standard vehicle the Altroz recently and also they've priced it very effectively keeping the costs they've to handle with the new BS-6 engines and also offered many good features like dual horn, ambient lighting, part digital and part analog cluster, comfortable rear seats, 90°opening doors and also for the first time a cruise control, steering mounted controls and many more like this. What Tata Motors offer uniquely for this particular vehicle of theirs is the modification packs for the car and you can customize it with the packs they offer us. This is a very unique thing and also the Harman  powered audio system sounds very nice and clear. The Drive modes are restricted to 2 this time which are City and Eco and as the name suggests the City is for sporty driving while Eco is for better fuel economy figures. Having  the 1.5lit engines Diesel and 1.2 Petrol which are meeting the BS-6 norms were detuned and also they'r

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is tha
