Hyundai has launched its all-new 2020 Creta recently and I must admit that it has garnered both positive and also negative feedback from customers for its exterior appeal and also people are a bit confused when it comes to the comparison of Creta with its rivals. But, the fact is that you shouldn't compare the new-gen Creta with its rivals but with its outgoing model. I will tell you why?
If anyone has been following the launches till now must have known the fact that the outgoing model of Creta was unnecessarily costly by then and at that time if Kia hasn't unveiled their Seltos then it would have been a different scenario altogether by now and Kia's arrival to India and the launch of Seltos has changed things very drastically and also it kind of questioned every car manufacturer in India to offer more and push their limits which is going to create a big difference as we progress into future.
Now, with the launch of Kia Seltos Hyundai has no proper answer for that and when it came to the comparisons of old Creta and new Seltos, it was quite a big eye-opening experience on how companies are able to push their limits and offer a spectacular product at the very first launch itself.
After all these things happened, Hyundai finally launched their new Creta with so many features and it kind of created confusion on which one should people buy when it comes to Creta and Seltos but I'll clearly tell you things that you must understand if you are comparing Creta with Seltos or Harrier or any other SUV for that matter. Creta will seem low on some features if you compare it with Seltos which has a slight edge over it in some aspects. The older Creta wasn't having this big features list like the new one while it has a usual SUV design that made it stand out and seen as the best vehicle with its competition at that time but one important thing you must understand is that the new-gen Creta is really a very big step-up from Hyundai for many reasons as of now.
1. Design of new Creta attracts some and opposes some but its all-new design which isn't the regular one you have seen with the outgoing model which would have been named as facelift if they have made some changes on the older one but they haven't and the proof is its proportions.
2. Interiors of Creta is an excellent improvement over the old one which was having plain and simple interiors which no one has complained about but internally might have expected somewhat better while the new Creta has very upmarket appealing interiors and also features loaded to the brim which is a good thing to consider.
3. More than any of its competition, Creta has so many useful features like panoramic sunroof that creates an airy feeling inside the cabin, infotainment system that has a ton of futuristic tech into it like Blue-Link, Navigation, Air Purifier controls, and many such things can be operated through it. The operations of the system are very responsive and can be said as the best-looking skin on it. (Theme color)
4. Ride quality was good in the outgoing model also but the new one makes it feel even more luxurious with all the features it has like ventilated seats, electronic parking brake, auto-hold button, the paddle shifters and all make Creta a luxurious SUV to be had.
5. Alloys! Well, that's a tricky part and in my opinion, I personally like the alloys that were shown in the commercial but the gun-metal alloys simply make us feel like plastic covers on steel wheels and this is totally my opinion and if you feel the same, then let me know by commenting "I feel the same about Alloys in Creta" so that I will be able to know how many people feel the same as I do.
Now that the post has come to an end, I would like to tell you all one thing and i.e, if you are planning to purchase Hyundai Creta, then compare it with the older one as it makes a lot more sense than comparing it with its other rivals which could confuse you at some point and moreover if you want to compare the Creta with its rivals, then you make sure you are ticking all the useful & highly accessed features available in that vehicle so that you can clear out the unwanted things in that vehicle.
