Should you wait for Kia Sonet or purchase the other BS6 SUVs in the compact segment?

Hello guys! Welcome to CarsReboot! Today we're gonna discuss whether you should wait for Kia Sonet or purchase the other SUVs in the segment!

First off, I strongly believe that waiting for Kia Sonet would be really worthy enough and why you should avoid the current SUVs is the immediate question that’ll rise in your mind and I have an answer for that too but before discussing the current SUVs, I will tell you why you should wait for Kia Sonet.

Sonet is a fresh offering from Kia in the compact SUV segment which means, you're gonna get more fresh features, new design, and also new experience as well. So, down below are some more points why one must wait until its release.

1. Kia Sonet is going to be loaded with tech and safety features no matter what other competitors in the market are offering currently because Kia is going to study what’s lacking in this segment and based on that only, they’re gonna make a decision right!

2. The design of Sonet is an all-new one instead of bringing already present ones in the global market, which is a really good reason to prefer Sonet.

3. Whatever the aspect you take, in my opinion, Kia is going to fill the Sonet to its brim with as many features as possible so, that’s a great thing to have and the driving is going to be effortless if they release automatics but we must wait what they've in their cards.

With all things said and done, I would like to mention one more point that, Kia Sonet’s price is surely gonna compete more with the Mahindra XUV300 rather than with other SUVs because Kia's gonna load it to the brim and demanding a bit higher price is no doubt for sure. I don’t say premium but it’ll be priced highly competitive compared to its rivals in the sub-4-meter segment.

Now, coming to the other SUVs part, what we currently have are the SUVs which are good at something but not in every aspect which is true. And if you want to know what they’re good at, read on..!

1. Ford EcoSport - Great handler, safer, has a good amount of features, strictly for 4 people, decent ride quality. 2020 version could have been a bit more packed one with the addition of some features but that didn’t happen.

2. Hyundai Venue - Feature-packed, attractive design, a comfortable rider, has a responsive infotainment system, everything offered at a good price point, strictly for 4, ride quality is good. Where Venue lacks is in offering SX(O) in petrol DCT and also strange emission of features for no reason is the case even now.

3. Mahindra XUV300 - Great design, has a good amount of features list, comfortable ride, can accommodate 5 people, ride quality is very nice. Nothing kind of wow features, its simple, no-nonsense SUV. It's like nothing out of the box or nothing superior to other SUVs in the segment.

4. Tata Nexon - Couple SUV, feature-loaded, can accommodate 5 people, superb safety, comfortable for 5 and the ride quality is good. Lag in the infotainment system, body role, and bouncy ride is what they need to improve.

5. Maruti Suzuki Brezza - Boxy design, changes made for the 2020 version are good, ride quality has improved but not on par with the XUV300 for sure, only petrol SUV and nothing great in terms of overall features or anything but it ticks all the important features. This SUV has some changes inside and out but innovation or addition of new features seems to be like "not my job" affair with Brezza which shouldn't be the case if they need to up the sales figures highly.

So, if you have seen the above vehicles overall characteristics, everyone has their own pros and cons but with the 2020 version or in their BS6 avatar, they could have improved what’s bad in them and could have added more useful and important features in their vehicles and the only SUV which utilized best in this BS6 transition is only Tata Nexon in my opinion because the design is fresh with updates, more features were added and also new connected tech is a good addition too. The rest of the SUVs have their changes but they're too but nothing out of the box.

If Kia could fill this gap in lack of proper features in a compact SUV space and if they could study the market well and launch the SUV with the right pricing and right features, it's surely on its way towards the leader throne in the segment.

But there's a small question here and it is, whether Kia Sonet is going to be a sporty characteristic SUV like Ford EcoSport or a comfortable rider like XUV300 or a futuristic design with great features list like Venue or is it going to be a comfortable space for 5 people like Nexon is the question. I know it can't be all but it can cover most of them. I will tell you how.

Kia, for sure is going to add features up to the brim and the design is really nice as per concept but how much does it translate to the production version is the question. So, providing customers with better ride quality is still in Kia's hands-on whether they're going to install a soft suspension or stiffer one because nowadays people are highly attracted to the designs and once they purchase them, what suffers them is the ride quality which is stiff and if the ride is uncomfortable, it'll really appear in the sales. So, Kia should take care of this one as well.

So far, we don't have any information on how it's going to be, but it certainly is gonna be the best possible compact SUV in the segment if Kia could provide everything i.e, features, ride quality, and others in the right proportion.

Thank you for reading the post and do share your opinions and features you would like to have in the upcoming Kia Sonet.

Hyundai Aura! The Sporty compact sedan is out now.

Hyundai India has launched the all-new sporty looking compact sedan 'Aura' which replaces the Xcent in Hyundai's India line-up and also the details of the car are below. Engines: This Time they have launched the car with bs-6 compliant engines both in petrol and also diesel and now they have the power and torque figures more or less the same as it's engines are even more refined now. So, the engines offered are 1.2lit petrol and 1.2lit diesel. There will be 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel among which the petrol is 1.2 that churns out 83Ps and a 1.0lit engine that churns out 99P of power and the diesel produces 89Ps of power. The Gearbox options are as follows: 1.2Petrol gets a manual/amt while the 1.0 lit gets only a manual one and the diesel gets both manual/amt. So, options are decent to look as well considering the price range it will be in but a CVT would be great like we have seen in the Amaze. Design: Coming to the Design, recently they have released the sket...

Renault Duster! It had its chance.

Welcome to CarsReboot!  There are many people who love Duster for its proportions, ride quality and also the sense of space it has inside it but now it has lost its charm to some extent with its other rivals and it fell into the category of only petrol with no AWD but it still has its chance to become a bigger player if Renault could do some key changes in it. 1. Engine: The 1.5lit was a very good one but now the company has shut it due to the upcoming BS6 regulations and it now replaces both the 1.5lit Diesel and petrol with a 1.3lit petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and the power figures have changed a bit. If they really needed some strong sales then introducing a 1.5lit BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines with auto gearboxes in both fuel options would have made it a strong seller for Renault. 2. Interiors: Many might have felt this but I intended to stress about this particular one because the interiors in Duster were not that appealing and the reason is...

2020 Tata Harrier! What has changed?

Tata has revealed its covers of the All-new Harrier AT with a fully-powered 2.0lit Engine now and here's a quick review of what has changed in its newer versions and Should you buy one?  It seems Tata has taken the feedback very seriously and the changes they've made in the new one are visible and also a good thing to hear as well. Let us run through the details quickly without wasting much time. 1.Engine:   Tata Motors are now offering the full house 2.0lit BS6 engine with the Harrier and also the power figures are 170Ps and 350Nm of torque now. There's a new auto-gearbox that works well and it is actually sourced from the Hyundai's Tuscon gearbox as that's also having the same 2.0lit engine. The Manual gearbox is also having the same amount of power and torque the automatic has but the good part is that the enthusiasts of the manual gearbox can enjoy it as Tata has worked well on the clutch to make it light and also simple to drive. The Mileage figures o...
